Robot Damashii Super Messiah Valkyrie (Alto Custom)
That is quite a long title. anyway, its gonna be my first review for this newborn blog of mine. So let's just started...
Just a quick information on what we gonna review:
The VF-25 Messiah is a fictional space-capable variable fighter, seen in the anime Macross Frontier (set in the year 2059 A.D.) of the Macross series.[1]The craft was developed on board the space colonization fleet Macross Frontier from the YF-24 Evolution prototype whose blueprint was delivered via theGalaxy Network. Within the series, it has not been officially rolled out, rather being distributed to the private military company S.M.S. (Strategic Military Services) to evaluate its performance under field conditions first.
*note that the one we gonna review is the one with "Super Pack"
Super Pack: The Super Pack is a set add-on parts to improve the performance of the VF-25. It consists of additional armour panels (chest, hips, lower legs, and shield), additional engines (a small thruster between the tailplanes, and two large, twin-exhaust thruster pods mounted on the wings), and a pair of missile pods behind the shoulders. The additional engines of the Super Pack increases the top speed. The Super Pack can also be used by macronized Zentradi and Meltlandi soldiers, as seen on episode 21 of the series, when a macronized Klan-Klang dons a pack to help fight off a Vajra invasion aboard Island-1 of the Frontier fleet.
Enough with the explanation lets get down to the review...
~OVERVIEW~

The detail and paint apps are pretty good, there are some place that have paint that bit mess like the hand backing for example. Oh, i just wanna point out that this guy doesn't transform, just in case you're wondering.
~ARTICULATION~
The head is one a double ball joint so you've got plenty of motion there.
arm is pretty good, although the left hand tends to pop off the ball joint, probably just mine but kinda annoying.
Stomach joint is very unique and has a lot of motion (although you can't really tell what happen there)
Hip joint surprisingly can spread out quite far, thanks to the extra joint on the waist that can move up and down. sadly the ankle joint don't do much.
Knee joint not that impressive. At least its more than 90 degree...
The back wing and small vin can move too
~ACCESSORIES~
This guy is one of earlier Robot Damashii so he doesn't have many accessories. for the hands you got 2 close fist that are on the figure, 2 open hand, 1 right trigger finger hand, and 1 chopping hand or salute hand to replicate a scene from last episode of the show *spoiler, 1 knife, and a gun which i don't know what its called. In the show that gun supposed to be open but here its just one solid piece and we don't have extra that are open, kinda dissapointed.
Now here is the super pack. not a lot and attaching them is very easy (theres actually one more that attach to the waist, but i forgot to take that off, silly me). The missile pod does open
~ARMORED~
The armor fits on very snuggly. Be careful on the wing though, because they can be tricky at times
~ACTION!~
Comparison with RG RX-78-2 Gundam.
Conclusion:
Pros:
+ Good detail and paint apps
+ Good articulation
+ Solid (a few piece like to fall off but its probably just mine)
+ The armor is easy to put on
Cons:
- Accessory count very minimum
- Doesn't transform
Not many cons i can think of this figure, so yeah its good. although this figure is already overshadowed by chogokin version mainly because that chogokin are transformable and has diecast and better paint than this one. But if you want small posable valkyrie and don't care about transformation then i recommend it.
