Transformers Generations Springer Review
Another delayed review ^^. I really want to review this as soon as i got it, but all the college stuff pushing it back. But, i got couple of days off so i finally got to do it.
Springer is a Triple Changer Transformers which transform into 3 thing, basically 2 alt-mode and robot mode. He is firstly appereance in 1986 transformers movie and continuing as character in the season 3 of G1 Transformers (CMIIW). But, this particular figure is based of his character in the new IDW Published comic "Last Stand Of The Wrecker" (more info).
Figure Detail :
Manufacturer : Hasbro
Line : Transformers Generations
Type : Voyager
Name : Springer
Alt Mode
Car
The car mode is pretty good if you doesn't look at it straight. Because you can clearly see split in the hood of the car and on the windshield mainly because of the transformation into the 2nd alt mode. There is a paint differentiacition in the yellow part, basically the hood though (hope you can see in the picture).
Helicopter
The helicopter looks more clean than the car mode and i feels they intented this mode more than the car mode.
Robot Mode
The robot mode is GORGEOUS! I haven't seen a transformers having this clean of a robot mode and almost no kibble or even no kibble at all. No problem at all.
~ARTICULATION~
Head is not on ball joint, instead its on hinch but he can still move freely. Shoulder are on hinch which move very great, shoulder rotation, 90 degree movement of elbow joint and wrist joint.
He has waist joint, but its very limited with that thing in his back.
Hip joint moves great!
Single jointed knee that can move about 90 degree and hip rotation.
His feet can move up and down for the transformation.
~ACCESSORIES~
Motor blade of the helicopter...
....can transform into a sword.
It can store the sword underside the car mode.
The sword can also store in his hole on his back.
And hole in his... butt?
The second weapon is kinda like dual blaster thing that can fire missile.
Can be plugin on top of the car mode...
... or stored on the front of copter mode via clip.
Blaster can be stored in the same spot as the sword.
Springer can easily hold both weapon.
Sword can also plugin underneat the blaster to use sorta as bayonet thing...
~ACTION~
Conclusion:
Pros :
+ Overall good alt mode and robot mode
+ Great articulation
+ Good paintjob
Cons :
- Obvious gap in his Car mode
- Slightly different paint and plastic use
In the end Generations Springer is one of the best transformers i've bought so far. There is couple of nitpick i have but its not all bad, so overall i highly recommend it if you're into Transformers.
Thanks for reading :)
